1) Unscrew the cap (4) of the battery com-
partment. Remove the adjusting key (7)
accommodated in the battery compart-
ment (6).
2) Insert the (rechargeable) batteries with
the positive and negative connections as
printed in the compartment.
3) Replace the cap and screw it on.
5 Operation
1) With the channel selector switch (3), se-
lect the channel for transmission from the
16 transmission channels: Use the key (7)
to set the switch to one of the 16 positions.
Example: In the switch position shown in
figure 1, channel 1 is adjusted.
Set the receiver(s) to the same channel.
2) To switch on the microphone, set the slid-
ing switch (2) to the upper position (“ON”
visible below the switch).
During normal operation, the LED (1)
will show green. If it changes to red, the (re-
chargeable) batteries are almost exhaust-
ed and must be charged or replaced.
3) Switch on the receiver(s).
4) Speak/sing into the microphone.
In case of poor or disturbed reception,
check if
a the reception can be improved by
using a different transmission channel.
b the (rechargeable) batteries of the
units are exhausted (see status LED
on the unit).
c the distance between the microphone
and the receiver is too long.
d the reception is disturbed by objects in
the transmission path.
5) To switch off the microphone, set the slid-
ing switch to the lower position (“OFF”
visible above the switch).
Note concerning multichannel operation
(Simultaneous operation of several ATS-10 sys-
tems)
If several ATS-10 systems transmitting on dif-
ferent channels are used at the same time,
interference between the channels may
result due to narrow frequency spacing in the
transmission range of 863 – 865 MHz. To pre-
vent interference, it is therefore recommend-
ed not to operate more than two transmission
systems at the same time. In case of simulta-
neous operation of several systems, the dis-
tance between the individual systems should
be as long as possible.
