TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM

CAUSE

SOLUTION

If problem 

persists

The machine does not 
turn on.

The power supply cord is not plugged in 
to the power socket.

Connect the plug to a socket which complies with the technical specifi cations indicated in the data plate under the base 
of the machine.

Contact an 
authorized 

Service Center.

The main on/off  switch is positioned 
on “0”.

Position the main on/off  switch on “I”.

The machine does not brew 
coff ee.

No water in the tank.

Fill tank with water.

Capsule not inserted in the capsule 
compartment.

Insert one capsule in the capsule compartment.

The capsule inserted does not dispense 
coff ee.

Remove the capsule by disengaging and lifting the lever and retrieve it from the used capsule tray. Close the capsule 
compartment and dispense a small quantity of water. Refi t the capsule and start brewing.

The moveable part of the top of the ma-
chine is not completely closed. 

Lift the lever and make sure that you have inserted the capsule correctly. Lower the moving part and lock by lowering the 
lever. Press the 

 or 

 buttons to brew coff ee.

The 

 or 

 buttons have not been 

pressed.

Press the 

 or 

 button again.

The water tank has not been correctly 
inserted.

Check that the water tank is completely inserted.

Internal components with limescale 
buildup

Descale the machine as described in the related paragraph.

The pump did not prime.

Try to dispense water with no capsule inserted in the compartment.

Water leaks out.

Incorrect type of capsule. 

Make sure that you are using an “Iperespresso” capsule for household use identifi ed by the “Ground coff ee single-dose 
capsule for household use” label on the package.
