Check whether the voltage specified on the type plate matches
the mains voltage available. The power socket used must be ear-
thed (protective earth conductor contact). Insert the temperature
measuring sensor (not included in the supply schedule) into the 5-
polar DIN-bushing at the rear of the instrument. Put a magnetic bar
into a vessel that is permeable for magnetic field lines, and fill the
vessel with the medium to be processed. Put the vessel on the
heating plate and immerse the temperature measuring sensor into
the medium (min. 20 mm). See chapter 11.3 for the operation
without external temperature measuring sensor. If these conditi-
ons are met, the device is ready to operate after plugging in the
mains plug. If these procedures are not followed, safe operation
cannot be guaranteed and/or the equipment may be damaged.
Observe the ambient conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.)
listed under Technical Data.
