8 Set-up
Before set-up, the units are to be mounted (
9) and electrically connected (
11).
8.1 DTE830
DTE830 is set using the ReaderStart software. The software and the software manual are available in
the download area of the DTE830:
The following functions are described in detail in the software manual.
Connecting with the software
Connect the DTE830 using the ReaderStart software:

Connect the DTE830 to the PC via the EVC895 connection cable.

Start the ReaderStart software.
u
Establish a connection between ReaderStart and the DTE830.

The PC and the DTE830 must be in the same IP address range "192.168.0.xxx".

The default IP address of the DTE830 is "192.168.0.1".
Setting the software

When using extension gates (
6): Set the IP addresses in the ReaderStart
software as shown in the table.

Set the following values in the expert settings 1 (E1) of the ReaderStart software:

Enable the ports [1..4].

Set the cable attenuation to “5 dB”.

Set the antenna type [user antenna] to "8.5 dBiC".

Set the slider [power] of port "1..4" to "30 dBm".

Click on the [Set] button.
