6.3.4 Super IO Configuration   

Use the Super IO Configuration menu (BIOS Menu 7) to set or change the configurations 

for the FDD controllers, parallel ports and serial ports. 

BIOS Menu 7: Super IO Configuration 

 

OnBoard Floppy Controller [Enabled] 

Use the OnBoard Floppy Controller to enable or disable the floppy controller. If a floppy 

disk is not being used in the system, disabling this option frees up system resources that 

can be redirected elsewhere in the system.
