after power up, the baud rate will return to the previous value. If the new baud rate is set by

command the baud rate will still be the new value then power
up.

The reader switches baud rate only if the response frame contains an
OK
status code. No data
is returned in the response.
8.2.22.
Set Baud Rate and Audio Level (30-03)
The
Set Baud Rate and Audio Level
command instructs the VP3300AJ (and UniPay 1.5) to
change baud rate to the specified value. If the command frame is valid and the ViVOpay reader
supports the specified baud rate, it returns an
OK
response and switches to the specified baud
rate. If the command frame is not valid, or an invalid baud rate parameter is specified then the
reader returns an error response frame. The new baud rate is retained over power cycles.
