ID-AL - My Music Player and My Music Player LE - User Guide V1.0

networking content management.

An Internet access to the player and to the server computer, for remote networking content
management.

For off-site handling use, a Scheduler file (

scheduler.tm3

) to timestamped the FTP

synchronization between the player content and the server content.

Recommended usage

This method is recommended for a small or a large number of players when the update is done
remotely over a local Ethernet network or over the Internet network, manually or with a
timestamped programming.

Pros:

Recommended for an off-site handling with the use of the Scheduler function.

Recommended for an exclusive content management with a distant provider.

Recommended for managing one or more players.

Recommended with the use of a built-in connector for the Main Media (My Music Player only).

Easy preparation of the update content.

Unscheduled content updates can be operated directly with the front panel user interface (on-
site handling) or from the web server (remote handling).

Easy to install in restricted network access policies environment.

Cons:

Required skill level about the Ethernet network deployment.

The unscheduled content update requires minimum skills for the operator.

For technical reasons, the use of the SATA are not supported properly with the FTP functions

(My Music Player HW V1.0 only)

.

Customizing the content of each player requires more space available within the content server.

Procedure

1. The player needs to be properly connected and accessible through the network. Please refer t

Ethernet Network Connection (page 49) and Ethernet Page of the Web server (Page 81).

2. The used FTP client must be configured, please refer to Setup the FTP Client Presets (page 47).
3. Perform the content update through the FTP client, with one of these four methods:
