Appendix D. Web server
The web server is assigned to control the status of the player and to obtain an information about the player,
to select an audio source with the advanced options, to perform special commands and also to configure the
player. The access to the different pages of the web server depends on the rights authorized by the log in
process. The web server access is composed of three levels of login:

Provides a basic access to the pages of the web server (

Provides a partial access to the pages of the web server (

). This account allows to control the player status, to execute the playback
commands. For a user access rights, a username and a password are required.

Provides full access to all pages of the web server (

and
FTP Client
). This
account allows to control the player status, to execute the playback commands and to
configure the player. For an administrator access, a username and a password are
required.
To have an access to the web server, a web browser is required:
1. In the web browser address bar, enter the HTTP address of the player, composed of the
http://
and the player network address (e.g.
http://mmp-8b0a
or
http://192.168.0.104
). In order to
know the player network address, please refer to Identify the player on the network of Ethernet
Network Connection (page 50).
By default, all the public pages of the web server are accessible.
2. When a user or an administrator access rights are required, click on
Log In
and enter the
username and the password in the embedded web server (user or administrator).

By default the user account accesses are: username = user, password =

In order to log out from the User account or from the Administrator account, please click on
Log Out
.
In order to ensure a maximum safety when the player is connected to the Ethernet network, it is highly
recommended to choose a new username and password for the user account and the administrator account.

redefine the Administrator username and password, please refer to Administrator Page (page 77).

The
Home
page provides a quick overview of the player status and the basic information without being
logged to the web server.
