2. To prevent the management inability
Set the Mirroring function that can synchronize the setting data with another PC with the RS-AP3 in-
stalled.
The function avoids disabilities of not being able to operate when one PC with the RS-AP3 installed has
problems, and enables you to operate on the other PC (secondary) that is synchronized with the one with
problems.
• If you change the settings and save to overwrite after synchronizing the setting data, you need to synchronize again.

Using the Mirroring function

Prepare two RS-AP3s (USB flash drive with the same license.)

Install the RS-AP3 on two PCs.
• Set the static IP addresses to the PCs.
• Set the same User ID and password for the primary and the secondary RS-AP3.
• The mirroring function cannot be used if the RS-AP3 versions are different.
• All of these settings are described as if the access point (example: AP-90M) is operated from the pri-
mary RS-AP3.
• Following the steps on page 6-8, set the mirroring function on the primary and secondary RS-AP3s.
Words used when setting
Primary:
The daily used PC with the RS-AP3 installed.
Secondary:
The PC with the RS-AP3 installed that is synchronized with the primary PC, when the mir-
roring function is used.
Local host:
Directly used PC.
Remote host: Remotely controlled PC through a network.
