A distress alert contains (default);
• Kind of distress : Undesignated distress
• Position data : The latest GPS or manual input position
data is held for 23.5 hours, or until the
transceiver is turned OFF.

The Distress call is repeated every 3.5 to 4.5 minutes,
until receiving an ‘acknowledgement.’ (‘Call repeat’ mode)

to transmit a renewed Distress call,
if required.

overboard)’ are selectable.
• The nature of the distress is stored for 10 minutes after a
selection is made.
