BASIC OPERATION

The following modes are available in the IC-F7000:
USB, LSB, AM, CW, FSK, AFSK, ALE-U, ALE-L and
EMAIL.

to enter the
Quick set mode

Push [ √ √ ] / [ ∫ ∫ ] several times to select ‘MODE,’ then
push
[ Ω Ω CLR]
or
[OK ≈ ≈ ]
to select the desired
mode.
• The selected mode is indicated in the function display.
NOTE:
The selected mode can be used for tempo-
rary operation only. Once changing the channel or
turning OFF the transceiver to return the original
operating mode
NOTE:
If you want to change the operating mode
on the channel permanently, refer to channel pro-
gramming. (pgs. 31, 32)

While pushing and holding

, turn power ON
to turn the Simple mode operation ON.
• “

” appears upper-right corner on the display.
• Repeat above procedure to turn the Simple mode opera-
tion OFF.
NOTE: While in simple operating mode, Quick set
mode , Initial set mode , Frequency indication are re-
stricted.
