Using security keyholes
Attaching a mechanical lock
You will need to purchase the mechanical lock separately. It is not an IBM
®
product.
Note:
You are responsible for evaluating, selecting, and implementing the
locking device and security features. IBM makes no comments,
judgments, or warranties about the function, quality, or performance of
locking device and security features.
Attaching a mechanical lock to the security keyhole has the following effects:
v
The product itself is secured.
v
The rear cover cannot be opened; so the PCI card is secured.
v
If you set the bay device lock and the PC Card lock to the locked position,
devices in the bay and PC Card slots are also secured.
Attach the mechanical lock as shown in the drawings below:
ThinkPad Dock
ThinkPad Dock II
The ThinkPad Dock also has a security keyhole for an Ultrabay 2000 device. If
you use that security keyhole, be sure that the bay device lock is unlocked.
