to continue. 

Using terminal 
emulation

If you get to Step 7 in the previous procedure and it appears that the boot server is not 
accepting input from your keyboard, you must set up terminal emulation on another 
computer. You can monitor and respond to the installation process from the terminal 
emulation program: 

1. Remove the DB9 connection from the boot server and insert it into the serial port on 

the back of the computer to use as a terminal emulator.

2. Start a terminal emulation program using the following settings: 

3. Restart the boot server computer.

4. Resume from the procedure that you were performing.
