the riser card. When installing optional drives, refer to the following
illustration for the location of the appropriate connectors.

Installing adapters
You can install a variety of adapters in the expansion slots on the riser card.
For information on locating the riser card, see “Locating components” on
page 78.
The riser card in the tower model has six dedicated PCI slots.
Note:
If you are installing a Wake on LAN-supported network adapter,
attach the Wake on LAN cable that comes with the adapter to the
Wake on LAN connector on the system board. If you also want to
take advantage of the Alert on LAN feature of your computer, you
must install your network adapter in the PCI slot closest to the
system board.
