Chapter 2. Setting Up the 7210 DVD-RAM Drive
This chapter provides step-by-step instructions on how to properly install the 7210
Model 025 DVD-RAM Drive.
DANGER
To prevent a possible electrical shock when adding or removing any devices
to or from the system, ensure that the power cords for those devices are
unplugged before the signal cables are connected or disconnected. If possible,
disconnect all power cords from the existing system before you add or
remove a device. (RSFTD203)
Attention:
The 7210 DVD-RAM Drive is a precision device that requires
reasonable care in handling to prevent data loss or permanent damage to the
device. Avoid bumping or dropping the 7210 DVD-RAM Drive. Ensure all media is
removed from the device before the drive is moved.
To unpack the 7210 DVD-RAM Drive, simply remove the packing material from
the box it was shipped in.
Performing the Installation
To install the 7210 Model 025 DVD-RAM Drive, complete the following steps.
Step 1. Using the Inventory Checklist
Make sure that you received the following items:
