Drive Error
1 Make sure the IDE signal cable is properly connected
to the drive and to the system board.
2 Make sure the drive power cable is properly
connected.
3 Enter Setup and make sure that the IDE Secondary
Channel Master parameter is set to
Auto . For
information on the Setup Utility options, see the
Aptiva online help.
4 If the error still shows after performing the above
steps, replace the IDE drive. It may be defective. For
more information on using the Setup Utility, see
“Using the Setup Utility” on page 71.
