If the PCIe adapter to replace is in positions 2, 3, or 4, do the following steps:

a.

If you are inserting a storage drive adapter, using your labels, connect the signal cables to the
adapter before inserting the adapter.

b.

Insert the adapter (A) into the riser (B) as shown in Figure 42, aligning it properly and inserting it
fully into the slot. Secure the adapter tail-stock with 1 or 2 screws as needed.
