5.5 Setting the Write-Protect Switch
The position of the write-protect switch on the 8mm tape cartridge determines when you can write to the tape.
When the switch is set to
SAVE
1 , data cannot be written to or read from the tape.
When the switch is set to
REC
(Record) 2 , data can be written to and read from the tape.
