vibration-prone
area,
or
during
cabinet
relocation,
tighten
the
two
thumbscrews
on
the
front
of
the
console
unit
to
secure
it
inside
the
rack
cabinet.

Installing
an
optional
console
switch
behind
the
console
unit
You
can
use
a
console
switch
to
attach
more
than
one
server
to
a
single
display
and
keyboard.
The
optional
console
switch
is
available
separately.
Depending
on
the
depth
of
the
console
switch
and
the
depth
of
the
rack,
you
can
mount
the
console
switch
behind
the
console
unit
in
the
same
1U
space.
To
mount
the
console
switch
behind
the
console
unit,
use
the
custom
mounting
brackets
that
come
with
the
console
unit.
Use
the
brackets
and
instructions
that
come
with
the
console
switch
for
other
installation
options.
Important:
The
console
switch
extends
beyond
the
rear
rack-cabinet
mounting
flanges
when
you
install
the
switch
behind
the
console
unit.
