TRT33A Getting Started
If the primarily neutral connection does not exist, the 1N (H0; N) lead is left separate from
transformer and other connections leads. It must be placed in such a way to isolate it from other
connections or earth. Primarily pay attention that there is no possibility any personnel can touch it!
With TRT33A turned off, connect the device to the test object. Pay attention to polarity while
connecting measuring cables on single phase transformer.
To maximize accuracy and measurement repeatability make sure that all clamps have a good
connection to the test object and avoid any crossing between measuring cables.
5.1.1 Single-phase transformer
Connect the ground lead of the test set to a low-impedance earth ground.
Connect the H and X test cables to the corresponding H and X connectors of the TRT33A.
Connect clips 1U and 1N (H1 and H0; A and N) to the corresponding HV terminals of the
transformer under test.
Connect clips 2U and 2N (X1 and X0; a and n) to the corresponding XV terminals of the
transformer.
