Dial Back Example:
Assume that the unit is configured as follows:
System Parameters Menu:
• Password on Dial Back:
On
• Dial Back Attempts:
3
• Dial Back Delay:
30 Seconds
User Account Parameters:
• Name:
Test1
• Password:
test1
• Dial Back #:

• Dial Back Mode:
On
Given this configuration, the unit would behave as follows :
1.
Password "test1" Entered at Modem Port:
Unit confirms that
password is valid, then disconnects.
2.
Dial Back:
Unit dials "555-1234" (the Dial Back Number for "test1")
and waits for the user’s remote modem to answer.
3.
Password on Dialback:
When the modem at the Dial Back Number
answers, the CMS-6R4 will prompt the user to re-enter the password
before allowing access to command mode.
4.
Dial Back Attempts and Delays:
If the modem does not answer, the unit
will then attempt to redial the number three times (Dial Back Attempts),
and will pause for approximately 30 seconds (Dial Back Delay) between
each redial.
