8 Navgaton Pad Press ths mult-drectonal control up, down, left, or rght to move
through menus, or programs.

centre button.

11 Mcrophone Speak nto the mcrophone when recevng or makng a phone call.
Also used when makng a voce recordng.
12 Soft Reset Insert stylus to soft reset your devce.
13 Mn-USB Connector Connects to the AC adapter or USB cable.
14 Stylus Use the stylus to wrte, draw, or select tems on the touch screen.
15 Lanyard Eyelet Eyelet to attach an optonal lanyard.
16 Volume Up Press to ncrease the volume.
17 Volume Down Press to reduce the volume. Also press once to slence the devce
when recevng an ncomng call.
18 Camera Button Press to launch the camera functonalty. Press agan to take a
pcture or start a vdeo recordng.
19 Camera Lens For takng pctures or vdeo mages.
20 Mrror To help poston camera for self-portrats.
21 External Speakers Allows you to lsten to musc wthout headset. Also used for hands-
free calls.
GETTING STARTED
When you turn on the device for the first time you may be asked to select a
permanent language settng, before beng asked to complete a screen
calbraton process. Calbratng the devce screen nvolves tappng the centre
of a cross wth the stylus as the cross moves around the screen. Ths process
ensures that when you tap the screen wth your stylus, the tapped tem
s actvated.
The Today screen dsplays mportant nformaton, such as upcomng appont-
ments and status ndcators. You can tap a secton on the screen to open the
associated program. If at any point you need to access the Today Screen, just
press/ tap Start > Today.
