INTRODUCTION TO ACTIVESYNC
Your devce contans ActveSync software that allows you to create a
synchronsaton relatonshp between your moble devce and your PC. Ths
means that when your devce s connected to your PC, data s shared between
your devce and PC accordng to your preferences. If you make a change n one
place, the next tme you connect your PC and devce together, the change s
automatcally made to the correspondng nformaton on the other machne.
You may connect to your PC usng a cable, or usng a Bluetooth connecton.
Accessing files from your PC remotely on your device is also possible using the
1-Vew component of -mate
™

more nformaton.
To allow the connecton to be made, the ActveSync software provded on the
gettng started CD must also be nstalled on your PC.
Note that upon connectng the devce, Wndows Vsta™ users wll be prompted
to download Wndows
®
Moble Devce Centre software and do not requre
ActveSync
®
on ther PC.
To access e-mals or other Outlook nformaton when you are away from your
PC, you may also connect your devce to your Mcrosoft Exchange E-mal server.
Ths connecton may be performed over GPRS, or usng your PC as a way of
connectng back to the Internet. If your Exchange Server s runnng Exchange
2003 Servce Pack 2, you may also be able to receve Push e-mals, whereby
any new e-mals are sent drectly to your devce.
