PAUSE TV
You can now take a mid-program break and resume watching at
your convenience anytime later without missing a moment of your
program. This is possible through
Pause TV
, which lets you stop a
broadcast program at any time during the program, and resume
when you are ready. Your HD receiver supports this with the help
of an external USB memory stick which stores the program after
pausing and allows immediate playback.
So to enable
Pause TV
, choose an appropriate USB memory stick,
and we recommend using one from the list in next section in order
to ensure high quality playback after pausing. Next insert the
chosen Memory stick into the USB slot at the back of your receiver.
The USB stick is then formatted automatically and you are ready to
start pausing programs.
Now simply press
to pause a program and then press
again
to resume watching later. You can also use your remote control to
fast forward and rewind within the part of the program recorded
during the pause, and then resume watching at any point.
Note that program content is only stored temporarily in pause mode. When
Pause
TV
is turned off by pressing
, all the recorded content is lost.
CHOOSING USB MEMORY STICKS
We recommend that you have a USB Memory Stick dedicated to
your receiver and always plugged into it. You should not share
it with your PC or other devices because any data stored would
be deleted anyway when used for Pause TV. We also suggest you
use a memory stick with at least 1 GB capacity, so that it can store
enough of your program in pause TV mode. If you use Pause TV
a lot, especially for HD programming, it is better to have a 2GB or
even 4GB USB Memory stick. The following USB Memory sticks have
been identifi ed as performing best with your receiver.

Pause TV
mode, a banner is displayed as follows:
