Channel Search
When your receiver has fi nished the
Channel Search
process, it will
inform you how many channels have been found. You can then
press
to select the fi rst TV channel.
Please note that your receiver will automatically select any action you have
highlighted after 10 seconds if you have not chosen the item yourself in that time.
TV SETTINGS
TV SCREEN FORMAT
You can use the receiver’s
TV Screen Format
option to adjust to the
format of your TV.
DISPLAY FORMAT
If your TV display format confl icts with the format of the program
currently broadcast, you can change the way your receiver
transforms the picture to make it fi t better. You can choose
between
Full Screen
,
Letter-Box
and
Pan-Scan
.
LANGUAGE OPTIONS
The
Language Options
screen (go to
Menu
then
Your Preferences
then
Language Options
) allows you to select options for your
chosen languages.
•
On-screen Language
- specifi es the language in which all the
menus and screens are displayed.
•
Primary Audio
- specifi es your fi rst choice language for your
audio soundtracks.
•
Secondary Audio
- specifi es your second choice language for your
audio soundtracks (when the
Primary Audio
is NOT available).
•
Subtitles
- specifi es whether subtitles are displayed (if available).
•
Primary Subtitles
- specifi es your fi rst choice language for
your subtitles.
•
Secondary Subtitles
- specifi es the second choice of language you
would like to use for your subtitles (when the Primary Subtitles
are NOT available).
BANNER DURATION
The Banner Duration option allows you to set how long basic
channel information is displayed after changing channel. To avoid
displaying the channel information at all, set the
Banner Duration
to
Disabled
.
SCREEN SAVER
Use of this option can maintain the quality of modern Plasma TVs
for longer. Plasma screens can suffer over time from increasing
‘screen burn in’, which is the permanent retention of images on
the screen after prolonged display, leading to deterioration in
picture quality. To prevent this effect, you can restrict the time any
image is left on the screen by setting the
Screen Saver
option. This
has the effect of turning the TV screen dark after the time set in
the
Screen Saver
has past.
