6.4
Choose the correct cutting attachment for the job.
6.5
Always remember that the tip of the line does the cutting.
You will achieve better results by not forcing the line in to the cutting area.
Allow the unit to trim at its own pace.
6.6
Hold the unit so the head is off the ground and is tilted about 20 degrees towards the
sweep direction.
6.7
Avoid thrown debris by sweeping from your left to your right.
6.8
Use a slow, deliberate action to cut heavy growth.
The rate of cutting motion will depend on the material being cut.
Heavy growth will require a slower action than light growth.
6.9
Never swing the machine hard as to lose your balance.
6.10
Try to control the cutting motion with your hips rather than placing the full workload
on your arms.
6.11
Ensure that the area to be cleared is free of debris, wire and any other materials
that may become entangled around the trimmer head.
Such materials can stall the head and cause the clutch to slip resulting in damage to
the clutch.
6.12
The trimmer attachment is equipped with a semi-automatic line feed (bump feed)
head that allows the operator to advance the line without stopping the engine.
