Tuning Procedure
8.2.1
Tuning a radio
After re-assembling the radio, you need to tune it with the Tuner software.
The specific operations are described in the table below.

1. Connect the antenna connector of the radio to HP8921, and set HP8921
to TX test mode.
2. Open the Tuner software and go to “TUNE_DATA -> TX -> Reference
Oscillator Warp”
in
the left navigation tree. Then click the “Transmit
On” button.
3. Observe the frequency displayed on HP8921, and adjust the vernier until
the frequency offset is less than or equal to 40 Hz.
4. Click the “Transmit Off” button.
Transmit Power
Calibration
Here takes the TX low power tuning for example.
1. Connect the antenna connector of the radio to HP8921, and set HP8921
to TX test mode.
2. Open the Tuner software and go to “TUNE_DATA -> TX -> Transmit
Power Calibration”
in
the left navigation tree. Then select an
appropriate channel.
3. Click the “Transmit On” button.
4. Adjust the power to the required level as follows:
L: 1.5
±
0.3 W
H: 2.6
±
0.3 W
