XPR Short Torch
Replace the solenoid valve in the torch
The solenoid valve is the only user-replaceable component in the XPR short torch. Replacement can
be necessary to troubleshoot a leaky valve.
The solenoid valve (
006155
) and solenoid-valve tool (229918) are available from Hypertherm.

1.
Follow these steps to remove power from the cutting system:
a.
Set the line-disconnect switch to the OFF position.
b.
Make sure that the power-indicator LED on the plasma power supply, gas connect console,
and TorchConnect console is
not
illuminated.
2.
Remove the supply-gas pressure from the cutting system.
3.
Remove the torch-lead collar:
a.
Loosen the hose clamp that holds the torch-lead collar in position. Move the clamp away
from the torch.
b.
Loosen the torch-lead collar. Move it away from the torch.
