Connect the plasma valve cable to its connector. Use your fingers to tighten the connection. Do
not use tools.
Interchange the coolant-hose connections in the plasma power supply
The coolant-hose connections in the plasma power supply must be changed prior to XPR short
torch operation. To do this, interchange the coolant-hose connections so that the color-coded
bands between the hoses and fittings are red-to-green. Red-to-green connections are the opposite
of the standard coolant-hose configuration.
If you do not interchange these
connections, performance and
consumable life during XPR short torch
operation can be reduced.
A label (210750) ( Figure
4
) that comes
with the XPR short torch shows how to
interchange the coolant-hose
connections. Hypertherm recommends
that you bond the label to the outer
surface of the rear panel of the plasma
power supply.

Make sure to change to
standard coolant-hose
configuration prior to
standard-torch operation.
