9 Rectifying errors
The following errors may occur during handling or operation of
the filter housing:
Malfunction
Cause(s)
Rectification
No oil flow.
The hydraulic
system is
switched off.
Switch on the
hydraulic sys-
tem.
The locking fea-
tures upstream
or downstream
of the filter ele-
ment are closed.
Open the shut-
off devices
slowly.
The filter ele-
ment is blocked.
Replace the filter
element.
The viscosity of
the fluid is too
high.
Check the vis-
cosity of the
fluid.
Heat the fluid to
achieve the per-
missible viscos-
ity.
The transport
seals have not
been removed.
Remove the
transport seals.
The transport
seals are the
yellow plastic
parts.
The dynamic
pressure up-
stream of the fil-
ter is high.
(Clogging indica-
tor appears)
The fluid is
heavily contami-
nated.
The contamina-
tion retention ca-
pacity of the filter
element has
been reached.
Replace the filter
element.
