4 Filter housing overview
The OffLineFilter BiDirectional OLFBD is a small filter housing
for the fine filtration of hydraulic and lubricating fluids. The di-
rection of flow through the filter element is freely selectable
(from inside to outside or vice versa). Areas of application in-
clude for example the filtration of hydraulic and lubrication sys-
tems in industrial and mobile hydraulics.
The advantages of the OLFBD are:
– Improvement of component and system filter lifetime.
– Any direction of flow through the filter element (from inside
to outside or vice versa).
– Flow rate is drawn for the OLFBD from the cooling filtration
circuit.
– The flow rate is limited by an orifice in the filter element
(no mechanically moving parts).
4.1 Proper/designated use
Use the filter housing only for the application described in the
following:
The OffLine Filter OLFBD filter housing is a stationary sec-
ondary bypass flow filter and is used for the purpose of sepa-
rating out water and solid particles from hydraulic and lubrica-
tion fluids.
Proper or designated use of the product extends to the follow-
ing:
– Observing all instructions contained in the instruction man-
ual.
– Performing inspection and maintenance work.
