5.4.1 Connecting the filter unit with 24 V DC
For the direct current version with 24 V DC, the filter unit is
supplied ready for connection with battery clamps. You will find
the exact procedure for this in the subsequent chapters.
5.4.1.1 Connection with battery clamps
A red and a black battery clamp are present on the connection
cable of the filter unit.
Connecting
To connect the battery clamps, proceed as follows:
1.
Remove the connector cable from its holder and unwind
it completely.
2.
Before connecting the battery clamps, make sure that
the main switch is in the 0 or OFF position.
3.
Make sure that the voltage is correct. You will find the fil-
ter unit's electrical data on the electric motor's name
plate.
4.
First connect the red battery clamp to the red positive
battery terminal.
5.
Then connect the black battery clamp to the black nega-
tive battery terminal.
6.
Switch the filter unit on at the main switch.

The motor pump group begins to pump.
7.
Switch the filter unit off at the main switch.

The filter unit is electrically connected.
Disconnecting
To disconnect the battery clamps, proceed as follows:

First release the black battery clamp.
