POWER MONITOR
The single phase monitor detects phase loss,
phase reversal, low voltage, and phase imbalance.
It opens the control circuit when any of these con-
ditions occurs. When the fault is corrected, it will
automatically reset. The normally open contacts
will close when 3 Phase voltage is applied to the
three input terminals. The monitor has an indi-
cator that lights as long as it is
not
tripped.
The low voltage cutout is adjustable from 180 to
230 volts for 208/230 volt units, and from 380 to
460 volts for 440 volt units. This should be adjust-
ed to 15% below the nominal line voltage at
power source. A voltmeter should be used to
establish actual supply voltage.
The monitor controls a two pole bypass relay
(BP) making and breaking power to the control
panel.
