Checks and maintenance steps for winter operation

If you use the motorcycle in winter, salt can be expected on the roads. You should therefore take pre-
cautions against aggressive road salt.
If the vehicle has been used on salted roads, use cold water for cleaning after riding. Warm water
enhances the corrosive effects of salt.

nized parts (except brake discs) with a wax-based corrosion
inhibitor.

Corrosion inhibitor is not permitted to come in contact
with the brake discs as this would greatly reduce the
braking force.
