5.7 Replacing charging strips

When the mower’s battery does not recharge

this may be due to worn charging strips in the

lawnmower. The charging strips should be replaced

when blackened or if there is oxide. Also check

the charging strips in the charging station, see

“5.6 Replacing the contact strips, charging station”

on page 57

1. Turn the mower upside down. Place the

mower on a soft and clean surface to avoid

scratching the body.

2. Unscrew the four screws (Torx 20) that

secure the rear wheel’s two labyrinth seals

to the rear wheel bracket.

3. Remove the rear wheel.
4. Unscrew the three screws (Torx 20) that

secure the rear wheel’s bracket to the

lower section of the chassis.

5. Carefully lift away the rear wheel bracket.

NOTE! Take care to not damage the

charging cabling.

6. Unscrew the two screws (Torx 20) that

attach the charging cable assembly and the

charging strips in the rear wheel bracket.

NOTE! Note the position for the red and

black cables respectively to ensure that

they are reconnected correctly later.

7. Remove the charging strips and fit new

ones. Always change both charging strips

at the same time.

8. Assemble the charging cabling. NOTE!

Check that the long red cable and the

short black one are mounted in the right

place. Incorrect assembly results in

charging not taking place and can cause

damage to the mower and the charging

station. Also check that the rubber

grommet is positioned correctly and

provides a satisfactory seal.

9. Fit the rear wheel bracket and rear wheel.

5.8 Replacing the battery

1. Put the main switch in position

2. Turn the mower upside down. Place the

mower on a soft and clean surface to avoid

scratching the body.

3. Clean around the battery cover.
4. Unscrew the four screws to the battery cover

(Torx 20) and remove the battery cover.

5. Fit a new original battery from the

Husqvarna Group.

NOTE! Press on the connector to fit the

battery in place. Do not press on the battery

itself.
