Step 2: Connect
a. Connect the Hummingbird ICP Control Module Catheter connector to the Patient
Cable Module. Push firmly, listening for an audible click.
Note:
Prior to connecting the ICP Catheter to the Patient Cable Module, the Hummingbird ICP
Control Module Catheter will have been placed. Please refer to the appropriate Hummingbird
H110 and H610 IFU for the catheter placement procedure.
Note:
Indicator:
The arrow marking on the ICP Catheter
Connector should align with the flat
(keyway) on the Patient Cable Module.
Firmly make the connection of the
catheter to the Patient Cable Module and
ensure that during the connection, there
is an audible and tactile indication of a
secure connection.
Note:
Indicator:
The Connect Catheter, Prime System
and Patient Cable Module lights will
continue to flash after the ICP Catheter
Connector and Patient Cable Module
have been connected.
