7) USE OF ELECTRIC SCOOTER
7.1. DETERMINATION OF ELECTIC SCOOTERS
The HUGO BIKE electric scooter is a product designed for people over 15 years of age, with a minimum height of 4 ft 11 inches
(150 cm) and a recommended maximum weight of 242 lbs. (110 kg). The scooter is used to transport people on paved roads or
in mild terrain. The electric scooter requires a maximum speed of 25 km/h, which it will develop thanks to an electric motor with
an output of 0.25 – 1kW (in accordance with the valid legislation of the Czech Republic).
IF THE ELECTIRC SCOOTER IS SET TO A SPEED HIGHER THAN 25 KM/H AND THE ENGINE POWER IS HIGHER THAN 1 KW, THIS TYPE OF
ELECTRIC SCOOTER CANNOT BE USED ON GROUND ROADS (NOT IN ACCORDANCE WITH A LICENSE PLATE).
7.2. CONSTRUCTION
The electric scooter consists of a steel frame or a light alloy frame fitted with two wheels and accessories. The front wheel is
mounted in sprung forks manufactured by another manufacturer and as such has its own assessment of conformity with the EU
standards. The rear wheel is equipped with an electric motor and is the drive unit of an electric scooter. The battery is hidden in
the space under the step of the electric scooter. Both wheels are equipped with mechanical or hydraulic disc brakes, which are
controlled by the user of the electric scooter by means of brake levers acting on the handlebars of the electric scooter. There is
also a throttle lever and a display on the handlebars.
7.3. ELECTRIC SCOOTER CONTROL
Before riding, each user is obligated to check the electric scooter whether:
• the control elements are fully functional,
• the lighting is functional,
• tire pressure does not show a significant drop (bellow 2 Bars),
• the electric scooter does not show any defects.
