Analysis
With the built-in FM function, U8815 adopts the BROADCOM BCM4330 chip to receive and
process FM signals. The BCM4330 chip integrates the functions of FM, BT, and WLAN.
For information about the FM antenna, see description about the headset connector. The FM
radio uses a headset as the antenna. Therefore, a stereo headset must be inserted for the FM
radio to function.
Troubleshooting Process
Failure: The FM radio fails to function.
Solution: If signals are available but no sound is heard, check the headset channel.
No signals are received
No sound can be heard.
Figure 9-54 shows the troubleshooting process for FM radio failure.
