Before applying IPv6 FRR, you must use this command to enable IPv6 FRR. IPv6 FRR takes
effect only when
route-policy
route-policy-name
configured in this command is configured with
a backup outbound interface and a backup next hop.
Step 3
(Optional) Enable the IP FRR poison reverse.
1.
Run:
interface
interface-type
interface-number
[.
sub-interface-number
]
The interface or sub-interface view is displayed.
The Eth-Trunk interface view, Eth-Trunk sub-interface view, GE interface view, GE sub-
interface view, IP-Trunk interface view, and POS interface view are supported.
2.
Run:
poison-reverse enable
The IP FRR poison reverse is enabled.
On an IP ring network configured with IP FRR, the
poison-reverse enable
command is
used to prevent instantaneous traffic storms caused by the route convergence.
Both poison reverse and BAS services cannot be configured on one interface.
Both poison reverse and inter-VLAN proxy ARP cannot be configured on one interface.
In the load balancing scenario, poison reverse does not take effect.

Prerequisites

Procedure
l
Run the
display route-policy
[
route-policy-name
command to check the route-policy
information.
l
Run the following commands to check the backup outbound interface and the backup next
hop in the routing table.

display ipv6 routing-table
verbose
–
display ipv6 routing-table
ipv6-address
[
