Commissioning the EMU
This describes how to commission the EMU.
Procedure
Step 1
Perform a power-on check for the EMU.
1.
Check the DIP switch settings.

2.
Power on the EMU.
3.
Check the status of the indicators.
After power-on, both the red and green indicators should blink for about 0.5 second. Then,
the red indicator should be off, and the green indicator should continue blinking.
Step 2
Check the communication between the EMU and the BTS/NodeB.
1.
Ensure that the EMU has passed the power-on check.
2.
On the Service Maintenance System of the BTS/NodeB, establish the communication
between the BTS/NodeB and the EMU.
3.
Check the status of the indicators on the EMU.
Check that the green indicator on the EMU blinks once every two seconds.
Step 3
Check the running status of the EMU.
1.
Ensure that the EMU has passed the communication check.
2.
Read the data of the sensors and the voltage on the Service Maintenance System of the
BTS/NodeB.
Check that the data is correct.
