2.4 Communication Ports on the EMU
The EMU provides the RS485 and RS232 ports for the communication between the EMU and
the BTS/NodeB.
2.4.1 RS485 Serial Port
This describes the RS485 serial port on the EMU. Two RS485 serial ports are used in active/
standby mode for the communication between the EMU and the BTS/NodeB. The RS485 serial
port is suitable for a dedicated serial port that has a DB-9 male connector.
