3.2 Power Supply and Grounding System Maintenance
Items of the NodeB
This provides the maintenance items, maintenance intervals, operation instructions, and
reference standards of the NodeB power supply and grounding system.
Table 3-2 lists the routine maintenance items for the power supply and the grounding system
of the NodeB.

Checking PGND
cables Monthly Check whether the
PGND cable and
grounding bar are
connected properly. The connections of the
PGND cable are sound. It
is not aging. The
connection points are
sound with no corrosion
on them.
Earth resistance Monthly Measure the earth
resistance by using an
electric earth resistance
tester and keep a record. The grounding resistance
of the cabinet is smaller
than 10 ohms.
Checking the
storage batteries Yearly Check the storage
batteries and rectifiers
every year. The battery capacity is
within the normal range
and the batteries are
correctly connected. The
performance parameters
of rectifiers are normal.
