Remove all hot-plug SAS or SATA drives connected to the failed backplane

Disconnect all cables from the drive backplane.

Loosen the thumbscrews and remove the drive backplane.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.

Disconnect each power cord from the power source.

extend the server from the rack
