Replacing a fan module

Before you begin

IMPORTANT:

Make sure that you have the replacement fan module unpacked and available for installation before
removing the failed fan. Ensure proper cooling, because the fan module replacement must be done
within three minutes or the temperature rises.

Verifying fan module failure

Before replacing a fan module, verify its status using one of the following methods:
