Before removing the I/O board, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the tablet and keyboard base. If you are unsure whether the tablet and keyboard base are off
or in Hibernation, turn the tablet on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the tablet and keyboard base by unplugging the power cord from the tablet
and keyboard base.
3.
Disconnect the tablet from the keyboard base.
4.
Remove the bottom cover (see
Bottom cover on page 65
).
Remove the I/O board:
1.
Disconnect the battery cable
(1)
from the I/O board.
2.
Release the ZIF connector
(2)
to which the USB board cable is attached, and then disconnect the USB
board cable from the I/O board.
3.
Release the ZIF connector
(3)
to which the HDMI/USB board cable is attached, and then disconnect the
HDMI/USB board cable from the I/O board.
4.
Release the ZIF connector
(4)
to which the TouchPad board cable is attached, and then disconnect the
TouchPad board cable from the docking board.
5.
Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×2.0 screws
(1)
that secure the I/O board to the keyboard base.
