Install the server drive assemblies

Prerequisites

Before you perform this procedure, make sure that you have a No. 2 Phillips screwdriver available.

Procedure

1.

Install the drive 1 assembly, and then install the drive 2 assembly by performing the same procedure:

a.

Connect the SATA-power Y-cable to the drive.

b.

There is a chance that the drive power cable might have been dislodged when the SATA cable was
connected to the drive. Verify that the power cable is still securely connected to the system board
before installing the drive on the system board.

c.

Insert the tabs on the drive carrier to their corresponding slots on the middle frame.

d.

Tighten the captive screws.
