3. The installation program displays the partitioning properties. HP recommends keeping
the default value by selecting
Continue

4. Wait as the system performs the installation according to your settings.
Phase 3 - Configuring the Network
The installation proceeds under a graphical interface.
NOTE:
Some settings can be defined by using the tree icon at the right side of the field. The network
settings need to be customized to your environment. Refer to the Novell NetWare manuals should you
need further details on the networking setup fields.
1. Follow the on-screen instructions to configure your network: server name, IP address,
Host name and domain, etc.
2. Insert and browse the
NetWare 5.1 licensing/cryptographic
diskette when prompted.
3. When prompted, click
Yes
to reboot the server (remember to remove all diskettes and
CD-ROMs from their respective drives).
The system will load the NetWare GUI.
NOTE:
It is possible that during the initial reboot of the NetWare 5.1 OS, the GUI mode may not load
properly. This can be resolved by installing NW5.1 Support Pack 3 or above. Refer to the instructions
on the next section.
Section 3. Installing the NetWare 5.1 Support Pack
1. Get the latest copy of NetWare Consolidated Support Pack (CSP) from NetWare’s
http://support.novell.com/tools/csp/
You can either subscribe to the Novell Support Connection CD program or download
CSP files individually. You will need to mount the Novell Consolidated Support Pack as
a NetWare volume.
HP recommends you use NetWare 5.1 Support Pack 3 or above.
2. Close the GUI.

A selection screen will be displayed.
4. Select
system console
.
5. Insert
the
NetWare 5.1 Support Pack CD-ROM
.
6. At the system console prompt enter the command:
load cdrom
