Windows 2003 Pre-installation Instructions
NOTE:
For ease of reading, both “Microsoft Windows Server 2003” and “Microsoft Windows Small
Business Server 2003” will be referred to as “Windows 2003” in this chapter; the
HP ProLiant ML110
Server Startup CD-ROM
will be simply referred to as the
Startup CD
.
1. Complete the pre-NOS installation procedures listed in Chapter 1.
2. Have the following installation requirements on hand:

HP ProLiant ML110 Server Startup CD-ROM
Microsoft Windows 2003 CD-ROM
Six blank, formatted 3.5-inch diskettes
A Windows PC that has a:
— Floppy drive
— CD-ROM drive
— Browser that supports HTML
Two or more clients for testing purpose (optional)
Windows 2003 Installation Flow
1. Create the driver diskettes using the
Startup CD
.
2. Install Microsoft Windows 2003.
3. Complete the installation—install the drivers for the Intel and LAN chipsets.
4. Configure the system.
5. Configure the network.
6. Install additional HP accessories.
