Remove the following screws that secure the top cover to the computer:

: 3 Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws from the optical drive bay and left side of the battery bay

(2)

: 2 Phillips PM2.5×2.5 broadhead screws from the battery bay

Position the computer upright with the front toward you.
