If the failed disk is

not

installed in a

hot swap bay, shut down the IOP.

If the failed disk is installed in a hot
swap bay, you can attempt the repair
while the IOP remains online. To do
so,

skip to step 5

Otherwise, proceed to remove the
IOP with the failed disk drive from
service:
• From the application task bar,

• Verify that the other IOP is fully

operational.

• From the Endurance Manager,

issue the command

• Shut down the local IOP with the

bad disk.

• Remove the failed disk.
• Install the replacement disk

following instructions for your
specific hardware.

• Power on the IOP.
• Boot the IOP to
